I Will Be With You

Joshua 1:5,6 ESV

“No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you. Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them.”

This was God speaking to Joshua as he took over as leader of the Israelites just before they entered the promised land.

I know it is Joshua’s promise, but take this to heart in your own situation. The Lord stands before you today. He sees where you have been, what you have been through, and where you are heading even before you know yourself. He knows your potential, even if you do not know your own potential. The Lord stands before you today and says, I will be with you. He says that He will never leave you or forsake you. He is telling you to be strong and very courageous because what you are going to see from here may shake you, but be still, He is by your side walking you through every valley and over every mountain top. The Lord has a path for you to follow, follow Him. Do not look to the right or to the left, but keep your eyes steadfast on Him.

Prayer:

Lord, where You lead me, I will follow. Just knowing you are with me gives me courage and strength. Just knowing that I will never face hardships, trials, temptations, and the presence of evil without You is my comfort. Lead me, Lord. In Your name, Lord Jesus, I pray, Amen!
