Greater Is He Who Is in Me

1 John 4:4 ESV
“Little children, you are from God and have overcome them (the evil of this world), for He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”

To say that God in us is greater than the evil one or the evil of this world is one thing, to truly live by that standard will be proved in the way we handle the adversity today. When we go out into the world today, is God greater than any problem that comes up today? Can we say with confidence that whatever we face, God is preeminent?

When we face trials and trouble today, will our first thought be, “God move in me and through me for this situation only You know how to handle this better than I can. You know what is driving this situation and You know the outcome before anyone, or anything will ever know it. This is bigger than me, but it is not bigger than You. So right now, in me and through me, be greater in me than he (the evil) that is in the world.”

Prayer:
Father God, greater are You in me today than what is in this world. Only You know and see the evil that is lurking in the darkness to destroy. I need for You to be the greatest force in me today, to receive Your wisdom, knowledge and understanding of all situations. To give me wisdom of what to do, how to do it, and when to do it. It has to be in Your perfect will Father God. Be greater in me today, Amen!
