Matthew 6:14-15 ESV

“For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you,  but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

Another prerequisite from Jesus, learn to forgive or there are consequences. I know forgiveness is not simple, I know it is not always easy, i know it sometimes even makes us angry beyond belief.

We go through this life with people stomping on our feelings, hurting us in ways that seem so crass, so uncaring. But we go by the standards of the One who has forgiven us for all our trespasses and sins past present and future. To be forgiven is great, to forgive even when someone does not deserve it is divine.

Prayer:
Father, forgive me of my trespasses and sins that I have committed against you! Teach me to forgive as I have been forgiven.
