God Sees

Psalms 103:113-14 NLT
“The Lord is like a Father to His children, tender and compassionate to those who fear Him. For He knows how weak we are; He remembers we are only dust.”

Sometimes in this life, as Christians, we wonder why we have to suffer pain and discomfort. Well, the fact is we live in a fallen world and we are still a part of this world.

Jesus suffered ridicule, mocking’s, rejection, abuse of words, mental abuse, and the worst physical abuse imaginable. He in fact said to us, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33B) The key here is, “I have overcome the world.”

How does this overcoming power work? As I said before, we are living in a fallen world, we may not be of this world (we belong to God now) but we still have to live out this life.

I think the things that we suffer only remind us to depend on God more. Mental pain or suffering in our heart over things lost should cause us to get closer to God for healing, strength, love and encouragement. He may direct us to talk to a counselor, pastor, psychologist but He will lead us to get the best help possible.

We may want situations removed, but sometimes God walks with us through these situations in our lives. For physical pain we depend on God as well, He will help, and He will heal. It may take us learning not to do certain things that cause pain, I am the most guilty of this problem. It may take going to the doctor, going to physical therapy, and even medications in moderation, God uses all of these to bring us comfort.

The wisdom is leaning to lean on God in every situation and listening to His directions. He uses His divine power, and He uses manmade corrections for pain and suffering mentally, physically and spiritually.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for caring, for loving, for instantaneous healing and progressive healing. Thank You for providing a way even when we do not clearly see a way to find the healing that we are looking for. In Your name Father God, Amen!
