“Surely your goodness and ·love[loyalty; mercy] will ·be with [pursue; follow] me all
 my life…”

David was betrayed by his own son and country (for the most part). Yet he still wrote, “surely goodness and mercy (pursues) me all the days of my life.” That’s a man after God’s heart.
