2 Corinthians 10:4 ESV

“For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.”

It’s absolutely necessary that we understand that the fight we are in, in this world, we do not fight alone. Yes, at times God will fight our battles for us as He did many times for Israel, but there are times that He wants us to engage in the battle trusting that He is by our side and in us.

We have been given the power through God to demolish strongholds. Strongholds can be many things but most of the time they occur in our minds. We have thoughts that defeat us or worries that keep us bound up. Sometimes strongholds are people that hold us back or intimidate us or cause fear in our lives.

“The weapons of our warfare…have divine power to destroy strongholds.” Whatever the stronghold is, God is with us and in us to destroy it, because He wants us to be all that He designed us to be. If we have strongholds that keep us from the will of God, they must be destroyed.

Prayer:
Father, you have called me to lead a victorious life. So, through Your power, I destroy the strongholds that keep me from being who I am supposed to be.
