God is Faithful

2 Timothy 2:13 ESV
“If we are faithless, He remains faithful for He cannot deny himself.”

Even when we have no faith left, when we have faced so many battles and the scars are so great that we lose our focus on Jesus, He steps in and carries us, even when we are faithless. God is faithful. He has seen the ugliness of our lives, the betrayals, the times we have given up and walked away. He has seen our hearts, the things that plague our minds, yet even then, He remains faithful.

Romans 8: 38-39 says,
“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

This morning, feed on His faithfulness, know that He is there, and He is wanting to turn things around for us. I had someone ask me, “then why doesn’t He just do it?” It doesn’t work like that.

From the moment of conception, He was lining things up in our lives. This life with Jesus is a faith walk. He is continuously building us up, making us stronger, and getting us to our destination His greatest desire is a personal relationship with us.

He already knew our faults, failures and the times that we would be hurt by life. So, He promises to walk the valleys with us, David said, “Even though I walk THROUGH the valley of the shadow of death, You are with me…”

The last part of today’s verse says that God is faithful because He cannot deny Himself, basically He cannot deny who He is. He cannot deny His mercy, grace, His holy character that says that He will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5)

Prayer:
Thank You Father that You have seen the times that we are faithless, weak, battered, and torn and You come to our rescue. You are faithful and true, and we love You for that characteristic. In Your name Holy Father, Amen!
