Take Courage
1 Samuel 37a, 45-46a
“And David said, “The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine…”
“Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you down…”
We all have giants in our lives, ether they are family problems, friend problems, money issues, health issues, we all have these insurmountable things in our lives that we can’t seem to shake. So, what do we do? (1) Remember the things that God did for you in the past. Remember how those problems seemed to be taken care of with just one breath of God.
(2) Declare to those giant problems, that our God is bigger than any problem that the devil can throw at us. God did it before, and He will do it again. David told the giant before the fight what his doom was, “but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you down…” The problem may look huge, but to God it as easy as helping a small boy sling a rock and kill the giant that brought fear.
Prayer:
Lord, I give You my life, my health, my family and their health and well being and all my loved ones out there that desperately need You. I speak to our giants, this day the Lord will deliver you into His hand, and God will strike you down. In Your name, Lord Jesus, I trust in You, Amen!
