Ask

Matthew 7:7-8 ESV

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.”

Ask, seek, and knock is a relationship with God. Relationship with the God who loves us the most and the God who desires our attention.

When we are desiring a relationship with someone, we want to communicate with them. We want to hear their voice, and we want them to hear our voice because they need that as well. When we are interested in someone, we are diligently seeking to be in their presence and we find ways and opportunities to spend time together with them.

Is it any different with God? He desires to have a close relationship with us.

Prayer:

Lord, we are in a close relationship with You, so we want to be in Your presence. Our benefit is that You know us better than we know ourselves, and You know what we need more than we do. Your benefit is for us to abide with You because You love us and You want to share Your heart and Your home with us. Lord, never let us forget this moment and this relationship. In Your name, Lord Jesus, we love You, knowing You first loved us. Amen!
