The Kingdom Within Us

Luke 17:20-21 NLT
“One day the Pharisees asked Jesus, “When will the Kingdom of God come?” Jesus replied, “The Kingdom of God can’t be detected by visible signs. You won’t be able to say, ‘Here it is!’ or ‘It’s over there!’ For the Kingdom of God is already among you (because of my presence).”

In Jesus’s day, people were thinking the Kingdom of God only exists in two frames of thought; One, the Kingdom of God in heaven, and two, the Kingdom of God on earth begins when the Messiah sits on the throne in Jerusalem.

Unfortunately, most people in our time believe that the Kingdom of God only exists in one relm at this point and that’s in heaven. For those who are born again and have Jesus in their heart and lives, they know that the Kingdom of God is within us.

Yes we will One day be in a Kingdom where we can see Jesus face to face but for now His presence is here, with us. Understand, having the Kingdom of God within us contains responsibility to be true children of God in words, actions, deeds, and in how we feel about our King and never being ashamed of our King. Plus, the willingness to tell people we are in this world, but we are not of this world.

We have the Kingdom of God that we hold allegiance to. Our Kingdom benefits us because we have the King of Glory, the Holy Spirit and God the Creator living within us, listening to our Prayers and providing for our needs.

Lord, thank you for allowing me to be in Your kingdom, living in Your favor!
