Making Ready to Fight

Nehemiah 4:10-11,13-14 ESV
“In Judah it was said, “The strength of those who bear the burdens is failing. There is too much rubble. By ourselves we will not be able to rebuild the wall.” And our enemies said, “They will not know or see till we come among them and kill them and stop the work.”

So in the lowest parts of the space behind the wall, in open places, I stationed the people by their clans, with their swords, their spears, and their bows. And I looked and arose and said to the nobles and to the officials and to the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes.”

Explanation:
Bad news is everywhere, and it is a time of great fear, if people do not know the Lord. Wisdom from God would say rally the friends, family and ally’s for this time, and get together in one mind and spirit and pray. Lift each other up in prayer.

We have had so many people call and text us about prayer for so many things and so many people, especially those with illnesses and diseases. We know it is time to rally the troops. It is time to do spiritual warfare on our knees.

I will echo the speech of Nehemiah, “Do not be afraid of them (or the circumstances that have happened). Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes.”

Prayer:
Father, we bind ourselves together. We cross over church lines that man has drawn, and across denominational lines, that man has drawn, and we come together in prayer. With one heart, one mind and one Spirit, we do battle. We put on the full armor of God and we say Your words to each other, “…no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you.” (Isaiah 54:17) In Your name Father, Amen!
