Laughter and Singing Will Come

Psalms 126:5-6 ESV
“Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy! He (or she) who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his (or her) sheaves with him (or her).”

Life is not always sweet. This life is not always our best life, but we can do our best with what we are given. In this passage sowing in tears is representative of the struggles in life we often encounter but we go through those times knowing that God will bring us joy and laughter if we do not let the tough times make us bitter.

As we sow the seeds in this life, working jobs to make life better, sowing into our children and grandchildren the knowledge of God and His goodness, we will reap a bountiful harvest if we remain faithful.

In our families, if we teach them the ways of God, knowledge and understanding of the right way to live and act and how to be great members of society, that knowledge is stored up in their hearts and minds and it will bring us joy and contentment. For whatever we sow we also will reap. If we sow in peace, even though this life is often hard, we will reap joy and peace.

Prayer:
Lord, help me to sow the seeds of faith and assurance no matter what I am going through help me to remain positive, believing that what I have sown in faith will bring me joy in You.
