Proverbs 25:13 ESV
“Like the cold of snow in the time of harvest is a faithful messenger to those who send him; he refreshes the soul of his masters.”

Harvest occurred in the fall in Israel. After a hot summer and all the hard work of bringing a harvest into the barns, the reapers, threshers, and other workers were parched and weary. Sometimes a cool wind would come down from the mountains and would refresh the workers.

Solomon compared that refreshing to a faithful messenger to those who sent him. Believers are the Lord’s messengers, charged with the responsibility to take the good news of salvation into all the world.

In that responsibility, we can refresh our Master by being faithful and true to deliver the message that we have been given. Millions of people are waiting to hear the truth about God from our lips.

Prayer:
Lord, I pray you find us faithful, true and refreshing, and ever present to delivery the good news of the Gospel to those You have prepared. In Your name Lord, Amen!
