God Speaks

Psalms 50:23 ESV

“The one who offers thanksgiving as his (or her) sacrifice glorifies Me; to one who orders his (or her) way rightly I will show the salvation of God!”

This is God speaking in verse 23 to His people.

Our praise is our sacrifice to God, but in order for praise to please God, it has to be sincere and from the heart. It cannot be mere lip service or mindless singing and praising God, and yes, God knows the difference. The sacrifice that is pleasing to God is pure, from the heart, because we want to honor Him.

The second line in the New Living Translation says it like this: “If you keep to My path, I will reveal to you the salvation of God.” If we follow in God’s ways, and maintain a relationship with Him, and communicate with Him daily, if not hourly, God will deliver us mentally, physically, and spiritually.

Prayer:

Lord, we owe You our all, because You are everything. We praise You, we love You, and we adore Your words, because they are life, health, and healing to us. By Your words, Lord, we see Your glory. By Your words Lord, we see that You desire a relationship with us. We desire a relationship with You like no relationship on earth. Walk with us today, Lord, let us hear the melody of Your heart. In Your name, Lord Jesus, amen!
