Isaiah 66:2 ESV

“But this is the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word.”

Humble – often characterized as genuine gratitude and lack of arrogance, a modest view of one’s self.

Contrite – offering no excuse, shifting no blame. “Trembles at my word.” When was the last time you read the word of God and trembled at His awesome power? That’s what God is looking for!
