Job 42:2 NLT
God Can Do Anything
“I know that You (God) can do anything, and no one can stop You.”
Job went through a terrible ordeal. He was innocent, and he was a righteous man. Job reveals one thing about his thoughts, what he feared the most came to happen in his life. (Job 3:25) But what Job experienced brought him new insight, new direction, new clarity.
His ordeal of death, destruction, loss of his business, and the severe boils all over his body would serve to remind him for the rest of his life what is reality and what is temporal. Commentators believed that this period of time in Job’s life, and all that is written in Job, was nine months long.
At the end of the tragedy and sickness of body, Job made a discovery: God can do anything, and He will make adjustments in our lives even when we think things are perfect. God is supreme, He works, moves, and adjusts as He sees what will make every person better, and stronger. He is all knowing, He sees all, and He is all powerful and He can do anything, but He is always moving for our benefit.
Prayer:
Father God, “I know that You can do anything, and no one can stop You.” You delivered three Hebrew Children from a fiery furnace without any burns or smell of smoke. You shut the mouths of hungry lions that could have killed Daniel. You parted the Red Sea, pushed back the flood waters of the Jordan. You healed the sick, the lame and raised Your Son from the dead. I will serve You Father and love You, knowing You are all in all, You can do anything and You work all things to make me better, wiser, and stronger. AMEN!
