Psalms 78: 5-8 ESV. (Portions)

“He (God) commanded our fathers to teach to their children… that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments; and that they should not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation…whose spirit was not faithful to God.”

Where would we be as a nation if we, all Christians, would just do this; teach our children and grandchildren or nephews and nieces, ” that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments?” We wouldn’t be in the mess that we are in, in America.

We are facing “a stubborn and rebellious generation…whose spirit was (is) not faithful to God.” I believe God can save this country by the Christians actions and our prayers. Nehemiah prayed for Israel in Nehemiah 1:6-7 “…confessing the sins of the people of Israel, “…we have sinned against You (God)… We have acted very corruptly against You and have not kept the commandments, the statutes, and the rules that You commanded…” if the church will arise, pray, ask forgiveness for our country I believe God will save this land like He did for Israel.

Prayer:
Father, we have sinned greatly as a nation. We have turned our backs on you as a whole. Forgive us our sins, cleanse our land make us one nation under God again. Help and heal us Lord.
