Resurrection Day

Luke 24:1-6 ESV
“But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared.  And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.  While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel.  And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead?  He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee…”

Good question this morning, why do people look for the living among the dead? Most religions serve a dead leader. We as Christians are the only ones who serve a risen, living, breathing, all powerful Savior.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ shows that Jesus is the Son of God and that Jesus defeated death and the fear of death.

The resurrection gives us hope, because Jesus lives, we also will live forever with Him.

The resurrection witnesses to the immense power of God Himself. To believe in the resurrection is to believe in God.

If God exists, and if He created the universe and has power over it, then He has power to raise the dead.  We serve a risen Savior and an all powerful God head Trinity; the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Have an amazing Resurrection Sunday!

Thank You Lord for conquering over death, hell and the grave and giving us eternal life through the Resurrection. You are all we need, in You we live, nove and exist. In Your name Lord, Amen!
