Romans 15: 13

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Don’t misunderstand this application; Trust in God must come first, then there will come joy and peace. Typically we want joy and peace automatically without any effort on our part. Trusting God is the only way to true peace and joy.  Make no mistake, this is not a temporal joy and peace like we may experience in the world, this joy and peace goes to the inner core of our being.
