Happy Resurrection Day

Matthew 28:5-6a ESV

“But the angel said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, as He said.’”

This morning, consider it all joy that our Savior and Lord lives within our hearts today. He is alive and He is alive forever. He conquered over death, hell and the grave. Our Savior is alive and the power that raised Him from the grave lives in us.

The resurrection means everything to us. It means that our Savior is who He said He was. It means that we no longer have to fear what may happen in the future, our future is in the hands of a living, loving Savior that has conquered over every foe. It means that our old nature has died with Him in death and our new nature is alive with Him forever.

The resurrection means that we have and a hope and a future. It means that we receive the victory because of Jesus. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15:55, 57, “O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory. But thanks be to God, which gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

No matter what happened yesterday or last week, a new hope dawns within us because of Jesus.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for You and what You have done for us. Thank you for a hope and a future. Thank you for a brand-new start. Thank you not just a healing and a deliverance, but a resurrection in our lives today. In Your name Lord Jesus, we honor You today for all that You are and all that You have done. Amen!
