Matthew 5:7
“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.”

Mercy is not deserved, and it’s not earned, it is just the kindness of someone to look beyond what the person truly deserves and give that person pardon, like God did for us. We did not deserve mercy, we did not earned mercy, God just gave it because He loves us and desires a relationship with us not matter what we have done.
