At Night My Heart Instructs Me.

Psalms 16:7 NLT
“I will bless the Lord who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me.”

Explaination:
We all need guidance, even those who do not think they need it, believe me, they need guidance. David knew the value of God’s guidance. Yes he missed the mark a few times in his life but for the majority of the time, where God led, he followed.

That guidance proved valuable for David even through the night hours. His subconscious mind instructed him of right and wrong, what to do, and what not to do. I believe God even directed his dreams. I would like that in my dreams. Whether we are acknowledging Him daily or not, He is still guiding us, that’s the God we serve.

Prayer:
Lord, thank you for Your continuous guidance and direction. I desperately need You to show me the way. When I lay down at night, guide my thoughts as I fall asleep, and train my brain to have common sense when I wake at all hours of the night. Let my thoughts be guided by Your Spirit. In Your name Lord, Amen.
