Passion Week Day 7
The Sabbath

Luke 23:43 ESV
(One of the thieves on the cross said to Jesus),
“Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom!”  And He said to him, “Truly I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

There has been a lot of speculation of where Jesus went after His death, according to this passage there is no doubt where our Savior was at until the time of His resurrection. The sad thing for the disciples, they did not fully understand what was happening, most of them ran away at His crucifixion. Only John was named as being there at the Masters death.

I know the disciples were afraid, dismayed and certainly unsure of their futures, but the Master had a better plan. Even though they would not see Him, He was still there. He would live in their hearts forever.

We, at times, may feel like we are alone, but we are never alone, the Master is always there with us. We are blessed beyond measure because we know the Father is everywhere, we know Jesus is in our hearts, and the Holy Spirit lives in our Spirits and leads us and we have God’s words to guide us. I’m sure the Disciples were perplexed on this day but Sunday was on its way!

Lord, I can’t see You, but You are still here. Living inside of me, encouraging me, strengthening me, loving me. Thank You!
