You know Me

Psalms 139:1-3 ESV

“O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways.”

I find it comforting that God knows all my ways, and that He knows me better than I know myself. Not everyone is comfortable with that idea, but God does see all and knows all. God can and does keep me in every situation that I face. He not only knows my ways or where I am or have been, He knows me so well that he knows the way I think. He knows the path that I am walking and when danger is near. Does He warn me of danger? I like to think he does, there are times when I am caught off guard but mostly I sense when things are not going well by His Spirit in me. The problem is, sometimes I see the awkward moments and do not avoid them, that’s on me not God. If I fail to perceive His wisdom, I cannot blame God for the calamity that I face.

Don’t resist God on this, let Him walk beside you. Let Him be in your head and in your heart constantly talking to you. He used to send prophets to warn people, now He lives within us, and He is speaking directly to us.

Prayer:

Lord, search me and know my ways, see if there is anything in me that is not pleasing to You and show me Lord what to do. I want Your perfect will in my life and in my pathways. In Your name Lord Jesus I ask, Amen!
