The ONLY way to the Father

John 14:6 ESV

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’”

It may seem bold for Jesus to say that He was the only way to the Father, except it is perfectly true. Why? Well, in the Old Testament, they had to go to the priest to speak to God and they had to bring a sacrifice. With Jesus, He is God in the flesh. Then He laid down His life once and for all times, to be the sacrifice that would cover over all our sins forever. Then Jesus died and He rose again and now He sits at the right hand of God making interception for you and me.

So, if we want a relationship with our Father, the Creator of the universe, we go to Jesus, believing in His name, trusting in Him, confessing that He is Lord of our life. Then we have the relationship with our Father that we desire. If at any time we may think we have miss-stepped or sinned, we go to Jesus, He forgives. His grace is sufficient for all our needs. He is the way, the truth and the life that we so desperately want, and He is the only way to the Father. The ONLY way!

Prayer:

Lord, I confess You as Lord and Savior. Thank You for the relationship that I have with the Father, with You, and with the Holy Spirit. I am so glad that I do not have to go to a man to confess my sins and to have the lasting relationship that I desire, I just run to You! In Your name Lord Jesus, Amen!
