Galatians 5:16 NLT
“So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.”

I woke up this morning and turned on the news only to see people acting very badly. What causes bad behavior? Mainly human nature itself and all we experience with people, and life itself taints our resolve and attitudes.

The old poem says: “Two nature’s beat within my breast, one is foul, one is blessed, one I love, one I hate, the one I feed will dominate.”

As Christians, we have the Holy Spirit living inside of us. We are influenced by God through His Holy Spirit if we follow His prompting. Not only do we possess the two nature’s, we have the greatest force of all living in us, the Holy Spirit. He leads, guides and directs, IF we choose to follow His leading.

People should be able to tell the difference between Christians and sinners by our good attitudes, gracious Spirit and our desire to be a better person. I know growing up you could tell who were Christians and who were not, but often times the ones I was around seem to have an air of superiority, that’s not a godly difference.

We are the only Jesus some will ever see, let Him live, breath and speak through us.

Prayer:
Lord, let me reflect the Holy Spirit that lives in me. Check my attitude and my course of actions today! I want to be like Jesus!
