Ability to Navigate My Challenges
Habakkuk 3:19 AMP
“The Lord God is my strength [my source of courage, my invincible army]; He has made my feet [steady and sure] like hinds’ feet and makes me walk [forward with spiritual confidence] on my high places [of challenge and responsibility].”
Simplified this verse says in the ESV, “God, the Lord, is my strength; He makes my feet like the deer’s; He makes me tread on my high places.”
We all have challenges in this life, social, family, health and wellbeing or mental scars we have collected through the years. How we navigate these challenges is up to us. Do we just merely endure them, or do we allow God to use them for His glory in us and through us?
Habakkuk says that God is his strength, and that God has given him the strength and agility (ability to move quickly and easily) on his high places. (Like a mountain goat on the rocky mountain heights)
The Amplified version says that his feet were steady and sure or sure footed and that for these challenges of life he has confidence that God will see him through. Not a confidence in his own abilities, but with a God given talent to maneuver through the challenges of life.
Prayer:
Lord, I have some talents that You have given me, but on my own I’m just sub-par. With You I can climb the highest heights and achieve great things for You. Make me have the ability to tread with grace and ease the challenges in this life. In Your name Lord Jesus, Amen!
