Hidden Love
Proverbs 27: 5 ESV
“Better is open rebuke than hidden love.”
Jesus Christ taught this rule; “If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother.” Matthew 18:15 ESV
James taught, “My brothers, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back, let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.”
James 5:19-20 ESV
Paul taught in Gal 6:1 ESV “Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness.”
Solomon takes this subject to a whole knew level, he says, if you love someone, you will tell them the truth about how they are going astray I’m thoughts or actions. Otherwise, by keeing silent, you are showing them that you do not love them.
Prayer:
Father, when I see a brother drift from the truth, give me boldness to correct them in love and therefore show them my love.
