“Your testimonies are my delight; they are my counselors.”

Testimonies are verbal expressions of the goodness of God, the attributes of God. They are expressions of what God has done in people’s lives to strengthen them encourage them and yes how He has had to correct and admonish people and nations.

They are expressions of what God requires and how those requirements have kept us safe and secure. So for these testimonies to be our counselor, we do not just read them and walk away, we apply them to our own lives. We learn from other people’s mistakes. We learn from these examples of what we need to see us through.
