Colossians 3:16 ESV

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, Singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”

In Colossians 3:12-15 Paul laid out a long list of attributes that Christians should possess. In Colossians 3:16, Paul continues with his list: Christians should have the teachings of Jesus and the ministry of Jesus live in us and through us, And we should teach and admonish one another with His words, and teach all that He taught His Apostles.

Paul continues by telling his audience to “Sing Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs…” Sing songs that express Jesus’s love, His heart, His teachings to keep them in our heart and on our mind. Singing His praises is one of the best way to remember His words and His promises.
