The Fool Says There Is No God
Psalms 14:1 AMP
“The [spiritually ignorant] fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they have committed repulsive and unspeakable deeds; There is no one who does good.”
According to the survey conducted by Pew’s American Trends Panel, 56 percent of respondents online, believe in the God of the Bible. Atheism is practiced by about a half a billion in people in the world. About 2 billion people in the world practice their faith in a Holy God and Jesus Christ His Son.
About 500 million Jews consider themselves of the Jewish faith. They believe their is a Holy God but Jesus was not the Son of God or the Messiah. About 350,000 Jews worldwide believe Jesus Christ is the Messiah, they are considered Messianic Jews.
That leaves about 5 billion people in the world, which include atheists, that either practice another religion or do not believe in God. David says, “The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” (Psalms 14:1 ESV)
I often wonder if those who do not believe in God, consider the fact at the end of time, if their in fact is a God, as we know there is, what will be their revelation at the judgement seat of God? Most who do not believe in God of the Bible, do not believe there is an after life, after death.
I know there is a God, I know there is a judgement, and I know there is a heaven and a hell. I choose to believe in God, not out of fear of the judgement, but because He has been so incredibly good to me and my family.
The fool has said in his own mind and heart, there is no consequence, their is no judgement, there is no God. Those people, in this life, absolve themselves of the blessings of God here on earth and forfeit their eternity to chance.
Prayer:
Father, I believe in You because I know You personally. I have read about You in Your word and You have shown Your character to me again and again. You have demonstrated Your love by giving me Your Son as my Redeemer. You have placed Your Spirit in my life so I can know You and Your perfect will. Thank You Holy God!
