Psalms 4:1 ESV
“Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have given me relief when I was in distress. Be gracious to me and hear my prayer!”

You can almost hear the desperation in David’s prayer. We get like that sometimes. We feel like things are out of our control and they are for the most part, we just can’t admit it to ourselves.

David asked for God to answer him, but then he remembered the many many times God did come to his rescue. We should be like that; Ask God and then remember the many times He has heard, and answered and rescued us. Be patient, He will do it again.
