He is My Strength and My Song
Isaiah 12:2 ESV
“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”
I was always told that life was what you make it. I’m not sure that is completely true because many have had things that have crushed them that were not their fault. The challenge is what are we going to do once we rise from the ashes? Some never rise above the torment and troubles and that sets the stage for the rest of their lives. Have you ever noticed that in times of fear that fear seems to sap your strength, maybe even steal the song that you once had in your heart? When the enemy can get us into a self-serving, self-reliant mode, he has won, for the moment anyway. In the times of rising from the ashes, declare who God is. He is our strength, salvation, our hope and peace. He is our Victor. The things that we fear, fear our God. Go stand by His side, see what the enemy does then. David said that God was his salvation, the one who conquers over all His enemies. David said that he was going to trust in God and not be afraid he said that God was his strength and song.
Prayer:
Lord, if there is some who have lost their song and their strength. Give them back a song in their heart and let if build until it comes out as their voice, then restore their strength. For others that are strong in You Lord, teach them to reach out to the hurting, teach them to restore, to lift, and to encourage those who need a song. In Your name Lord Jesus, Amen!
