1 Peter 4: 10-11 ESV
“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies— in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
According to the devotion that I sent yesterday, we are created for good works. We were created, gifted, anointed and commanded to do these good works. We are not saved by good works but we are in obedience when we do these good works.
You and I do not choose our good works, God has given you and I the works to do specifically each for His or her own calling. Along with that, according to this passage in 1 Peter, you are also gifted for your works. You have everything you need, now the only thing left is to complete the task. It’s not a one time act but a lifetime of selfless acts.
