Is There Any Sick?
Any Cheerful?
James 5:13-15 ESV
“Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.”
This is a verse of promise. The first thing James says is, if we are suffering, pray about it. He did not say think about it, live with it, he said offer it to God. Then on the other side of the coin, James says if we are cheerful or happy, we need to sing. I’m talking about singing in your heart, your head, if you can with your mouth, and especially in your Spirit.
If you are sick or need deliverance, get some good praying Christians together and let them pray. Then believe and start thanking God for the healing, even if you do not see it yet, go ahead and thank Him that the answer is on the way. Because the prayer of faith will heal the sick and sins will be forgiven.
Prayer:
Father, You have made the provisions for forgiveness, health, wealth, happiness, and godliness. Teach me to follow Your Word and Your plan.
