“Then Gideon built an altar there to the Lord and called it, The Lord Is Peace…” 

It was in this season of personal and national unrest that the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon at Ophrah, commissioning him to lead Israel and deliver them from their tormentors. In honor of the Lord’s words,

Gideon built an altar at Ophrah of the Abiezrites and named it “The Lord is Peace” or “Jehovah Shalom.” Gideon did not receive the victory as yet, but the words of the Lord gave him comfort and peace of mind.

God has promised in isaiah 26:3 “You will keep him in perfect peace,Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.” Trust God for the victory to come and He will give you peace.
