Jesus is Born

Luke 2:4-7 ESV
“And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David,  to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth.  And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.”

Isaiah 9:6 ESV “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder,  and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Don’t forget who is the reason for the season, Jesus our Saviors birth. Commercialized America has reduced this season to money and they have called it Xmas for convenience.

Now Hollywood and the woke society has reduced it to calling this season “The Holiday Season” and you find most of the places you go to retail stores say “Happy Holiday” to be politically correct. I typically reply, “Merry Christmas.”

Our Lord and Savior has been pulled out of the narrative of much of America. It’s up to us to keep Christ in Christmas and to keep heralding what God’s love has brought to us!
