Isaiah 9:6-7 ESV

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder… Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end…”

One of the reasons that most of the Jews do not believe that Jesus was the Messiah is because He did not fulfill His role as the Messiah by over throwing the Roman government and setting up His Kingdom in Jerusalem.

Not so fast Jewish scholars; first Jesus had to be the suffering Savior as prophesied and the sacrifice for all mankinds redemption. When earth comes to an end, after the tribulation is complete, the earth will be restored, the new Jerusalem will come down to earth and Jesus will set up His kingdom forever.

For now, we are in His kingdom. For as Jesus said, “the Kingdom of God is within you (us).” Jesus is the Baby, He is the Messiah, He is the King and He is our Savior. He is God in flesh appearing!
