Let Go, Let God

 Psalms 37:5-6 ESV

“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and He will act.  He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.”

Many think in their minds how can things ever change for them and their circumstances or their family’s circumstances. Well, this Psalm has good advice. Commit (make a decision to give Jesus EVERYTHING) our way to the Lord (completely put Him in charge of everything in our lives, not just our religion, but everything physically, mentally, and spiritually) then trust Him (relinquish the hold and give Him EVERYTHING) and He will make things happen (in His time, not ours).

On top of all those things that we give Jesus; He will allow other people to see the changes in our lives and marvel. He will radiate through us. Not only that, but He will also vindicate us. When He vindicates, it is NOT always the way we see the vindication happening. We want our vindication to hit people that have been mean to us right in the face. Jesus has a better way; He will make us shine brightly. He has a way to vindicate us so that people will see it is Jesus standing by our side, it is Jesus working in us and through us.

Life is not always kind and people are not always fair and even some Christians are wrong in their estimation of us, let Jesus correct the wrongs, not us.

Prayer:

Lord it is not always easy to let go and give it all to You, but I know You see all aspects of my life, witness and situations. Take my life even with all the broken pieces, hurts and pains and make something beautiful out of my life. In Your name Lord Jesus, Amen!
