Peace

John 16:33 ESV

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Peace in Jesus. Jesus tells His disciples that He will give them peace as long as they stay in Him. What does this peace look like? 

This kind of peace is freedom from worry, fear, especially uncertainty of the future because our assurance is in Jesus only.

The world offers uncertainties, fear and failures, fear of lack, worries of tomorrow. All these things are things we can do nothing about on our own, we need Jesus.

If we trust in Jesus, our sufficiency is in Him. We know He will bring us peace even in the midst of the chaos of this world. He alone has overcome this world for us, to bring us peace and contentment in Him and through Him.

Prayer:

Lord, we have nothing without You. All our sufficiency is in you. All our peace and contentment that we have is because of you. Thank you for overcoming the world for us so that we can have peace!
