Prince of Peace

Isaiah 9:6 ESV
“For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us…And His name will be called… Prince of Peace” 

In a world that was out of control at the time of Christ’s birth, Israel needed a Savior badly. They desperatly needed the Messiah, they needed the Prince of Peace.

Jesus did not necessarily come for an answer for physical safety and political harmony. Let me explain; yes, the government will be under His rule completely during the thousand year reign, He is the King of Kings. Right now He reigns in the hearts and lives of every true believer.

The Prince of Peace brings peace of mind, peace in our hearts and spirits, peace in our thought processes. The Prince of Peace will in time, create peace on earth for good, but for now, and He makes peace inside our hearts and minds.

We have, or can have, this lasting peace if we desire it. This peace is free for the believer, it’s just a matter of allowing it to take over inside of us. After we have received that peace, others will want that peace as well.

Prayer:
Lord, my Prince of Peace, thank you that I have a peace that the world cannot give nor can it duplicate. The peace that You give is beyond comprehension. I can’t explain it, but I can experience it, any time I want.
