The Answer is On It’s Way
Luke 7:7b, 9-10 ESV
“…say the word, and let my servant be healed. When Jesus heard these things, he marveled at him, and turning to the crowd that followed him, said, “I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such faith.” And when those who had been sent returned to the house, they found the servant well.”
I often wonder what would make Jesus marvel at our faith today. Have we been asking for something for so long that it just becomes a routine in our prayers?
I heard some advice from someone the other day. They had been begging God for something for a long time and they often wondered why God had not answered their prayers. Then one day they began thanking God for answering their prayer for this one thing, and they began to see something happening. They said that they saw God moving things around in their life, and the answer became abundantly clear. God was answering their prayer, but then doubt clouded their mind, and they could not see God moving anymore.
Once they started thanking God for answering their prayer, and became truly thankful to Him for the answer, faith moved out the doubt and they could see clearly again. Let’s get to the place in our lives where our faith in God is so strong, we never doubt again. To a place where we believe the answer is already on the way even before we ask God. Then we break out in praise and thanksgiving.
Prayer:
Lord, there is an old song that says, “Oh Yes, the answers on the way, this I know. Jesus Said it I believe it to be so. Our Heavenly Father knows the need before we pray. And we can rest assured the answers on the way.” I believe that Lord Jesus, get us to the place where You marvel at our faith, Amen!
