2 Corinthians 5:15 NLT

“He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.”

I believe we could say that most people live for themselves. They grow up with ambitions to achieve. They go to college or get a job so that one day they can buy what they want, and they find a career that will provide what they want. They find a mate that pleases them and have hopes and dreams to live a good life.

Those are not bad things but we as Christians were born for a reason, we are born of God for a purpose, and we should strive to accomplish what pleases God for our lives. Of all people, we have a God that has a plan for us, a work for us and we are to influence others for Him. This is why Christ died for us, this is why He rose from the dead for us, so we could live for Him and through Him.
