My Purpose, His Plan
Psalms 57:2 AMP
“I will cry to God Most High, Who accomplishes all things on my behalf [for He completes my purpose in His plan].”
A couple of key thoughts in David’s words in this passage; David calls God Elohim, that means God is creator, powerful and mighty, Lord of lords. He knew God as the Lord Most High, stronger, and mightier than anyone or anything. When David was faced with impossible circumstances or adversaries, he knew God was more powerful than anything that could come against him.
When David used the word to “accomplish” or “fulfill”, he was saying that God is the One who makes things happen in his life. He believed God Most High would fulfill all His plans and promises in him. We should be confident that God Most High will fulfill His will for us. Philippians 2:13 says, “It is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.”
Have you ever used GPS and missed the route, and the GPS recalculated to get you back on the right route? Well, that happens with us as well. We may look back on areas of our lives and think we failed God, we got off the path. But all God did in those times when we stepped off of the path, was to recalculate our path to get us back where we needed to be.
Prayer:
Lord God, thank You for leading, for guiding, and for recalculating every time we got off the path where You wanted us to be. Thank You for getting us back to where we are in Your perfect will! In Your name Lord God, Amen!
