Psalms 100:4-5 ESV

“Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise! Give thanks to Him; bless His name! For the Lord is good; His steadfast love endures forever, and His faithfulness to all generations.”

If we use the Lord’s Prayer as an example and guide, the first thing Jesus wants us to do and the last thing Jesus wants us to do in prayer is to give God praise. “Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed (worthy of praise and honor) is your name.”

We need to start every day and every prayer with praise because God is good, and His steadfast love endures forever. At the end of our prayers and our days we need to praise God, because we love Him!
