Giving Thanks (Happy Thanksgiving)
John 3:16,17 ESV
“For God so loved the world, that he gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him.”
Happy Thanksgiving, I pray today that everyone will feel the love of God and give Him glory and honor for making a plan to bring us back in right relationship with Himself. How much love did it take for God to send His Son, in the flesh, to live and dwell among His people. Knowing that His Son would be mocked, ridiculed, beaten beyond mercy, hung on a cruel cross, and die an agonizing death? All in order that we would have the opportunity to be in right relationship with Himself.
If we have nothing else to be thankful for today and every day, we have God’s love, His mercy, and His grace to be thankful for. He is our Almighty, all powerful, all-knowing, ever-present Father. He has given us His Spirit to live inside of us to lead, guide and direct us in the way we should go.
He has given us His only Son to pay for our dept, to set us free, to be our Advocate, to be our Redeemer, and Lord. He has given us His words that we can read anytime, anywhere we desire. His Word tells us all about Himself, and His plans, and His plan for our life. What more could we ask for?
Prayer:
Thank You Father for Your great love for us. Thank You for all Your gifts, Your benefits, Your Son, Your Holy Spirit, Your words of life. Thank you for salvation, justification, freedom, grace, and mercy! Thank You God for You! I can never thank You enough for loving us so much, Amen!
