“Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.”

A few years ago a minister from California said he had an influx of people that wanted counseling, but he found most of the people seeking counseling just needed someone to listen to them. So, He sought out a hundred people that he knew were trustworthy and great listeners, that would just listen and give minimum advice.

He found that by setting up these listeners and having people come in and talk to these listeners first. Only a very small number needed counseling. Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and A LOT slower to get angry with people.
