A Change is Coming

Luke 6:20-21 ESV
“And He lifted up his eyes on His disciples, and said: “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. “Blessed are you who are hungry now, for you shall be satisfied. “Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh.”

Even though the disciples did not know the spiritual implications of these words from Jesus, these words brought them great comfort in the natural. It had been a time of lack, It had been a time of hunger, it had been a time of morning. Israel was under domination of the Roman empire, they were not free in any fathom of thinking, until Jesus came.

These three sentences mean so much more than they understood, but they would hear and have hope in just what they could understand for a time. It meant to them that a change was coming. Hang on Jesus’s every word.

Without me going into the deep meanings of this scripture, take the simplicity of these words and know, a change is coming. It will not always be as it is now. The closer we get to Jesus, the better we will be. A change is coming!

Lord, I’m looking to You, the Author and Finisher of my faith. I hold fast to You and Your words that bring me hope and joy, peace, and contentment. I’m lookingvfor a deeper walk with You! In Your name Lord Jesus, I need You more, Amen!
