Matthew 5: 23-24 ESV

“So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you,  leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.”

Jesus set this standard, can you imagine if we did this every time we came to the throne of grace? Christianity would spread like wildfire. But, instead we rarely think if anyone has anything against us, but that was Jesus’s way of coming to the Father without any baggage.
