Whom Shall I Fear
Psalms 27:1 ESV
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”
There is a contemporary song that says, “My fears would surely kill me if I didn’t know the truth, the things that I’m afraid of are afraid of you.” I like that, the things that cause me to fear are definitely afraid of God. So, with God by our side and the Holy Spirit in us, and our Savior who has shed His blood for us, there is nothing to be afraid of, not really.
Satan’s greatest tool is fear. He knows if he can get us to fear, he can stop us in our tracks. Thanks be to God He has not given us fear to shrink back and stop our forward progress, He has given us power and love and a sound mind, (2 Timothy 1:7). Now, we can rely on Him, trust in Him, depend upon Him for the things that would cause us fear.
Today, tell the things that cause us fear who our God is and that He has defeated the enemy once and for all, and one day satan and all his imps and tactics will be doomed forever. The things that we fear, fear our God.
Prayer:
“Lord You are my light and my Salvation, whom should I fear? You Lord are the strength and stronghold of my life; of whom should I be afraid? Thank You Lord that I know, the things that I am afraid of, are afraid of You. So, I will look to You, I will run to You. In Your name Lord Jesus I stand, Amen!
